Cinema visit checklist
Prepare one cinema trip with a printable checklist for the venue, performance, age rating, access, tickets and travel, plus a complete HTML version.
Use this checklist for one chosen performance. Fill in your own copy on paper or in your preferred notes app. Leave an answer marked not yet confirmed until you have checked it; a blank space is not a yes.
Download the printable cinema visit checklist. The complete worksheet is also below. Version 1.0 — issued 4 November 2026.
Venue and performance
| Detail | Your record |
|---|---|
| Cinema name and town | ______________________________ |
| Address and entrance to use | ______________________________ |
| Official programme link | ______________________________ |
| Film or event, including version | ______________________________ |
| Full date and advertised start time | ______________________________ |
| Screen, format and seat or space | ______________________________ |
| Status notice checked and date checked | ______________________________ |
Match the location as well as the name. Use the current official programme, and distinguish a coming-soon film page from a scheduled performance.
Film and screening checks
- Record the film’s age rating: ______________________________
- Record the link to its content advice: ______________________________
- Confirm any admission or age-evidence requirements: ______________________________
- Note the screening label and what it means for this session: ______________________________
- Check running time, any interval and the expected finish: ______________________________
The age-rating guide and screening-type guide explain what to look for. Ask the operator if its advertised start time includes a separate pre-film programme when that affects your plan.
Access and family needs
| Check what matters for your visit | Answer, source and date checked |
|---|---|
| Route into the building and to the booked screen | ______________________________ |
| Seat or wheelchair position and adjacent seats | ______________________________ |
| Toilet route and any essential facilities | ______________________________ |
| Captions, audio description or listening equipment | ______________________________ |
| Companion ticket and assistance on arrival | ______________________________ |
| Child or baby session rules and any practical needs | ______________________________ |
Use the access-question worksheet for a fuller question bank. Ask about the actual screen and performance, and record who or what confirmed the answer.
Tickets, costs and travel
- Ticket seller and booking confirmation location: ______________________________
- Tickets, fees and any format or seat supplements checked: ______________________________
- Companion or other ticket conditions checked: ______________________________
- Cancellation, exchange or change-of-session terms checked: ______________________________
- Travel route, departure and return arrangements: ______________________________
- Parking or drop-off rules checked with the relevant provider: ______________________________
- Time to allow for entry, equipment collection or assistance: ______________________________
Keep payment details and sensitive documents elsewhere. This sheet only needs enough information to find your booking and travel plan.
Questions still to resolve
| Question | Where to check | Answer and checked date |
|---|---|---|
| __________________ | __________________ | __________________ |

Resolve an essential access or admission question before committing to the trip. For a preference, record whether you are happy to decide without more information.
A fictional example
Example only — not a real booking or venue. A visitor choosing between two unnamed cinemas writes: “Need confirmation that the route to the allocated screen has no steps.” They leave the answer as not yet confirmed, note that the box office must answer, and choose their ticket only after receiving a clear reply. They do not turn “accessible venue” into a confirmed answer about that screen.
Final check before leaving
- Recheck the official session and any status notice.
- Check changes to travel, entrance, screen or agreed arrangements.
- Take the ticket confirmation and any required card or age evidence.
- Keep the cinema’s current contact route and your unanswered questions available.
This is your own planning record. Reeltime does not receive the answers and the worksheet does not reserve seats or certify facilities. Return to all cinema planning resources for the access planner and venue comparison.
