THE REELTIME GUIDE

Website accessibility

Ways to navigate, read and print Reeltime, including complete HTML alternatives to PDFs and the distinction between website and cinema access.

This page concerns the website. For a cinema's entrances, seating, facilities or adapted performances, start with our accessible cinema visit guide and confirm the arrangements with the actual venue.

Reading and navigation

The site uses a logical heading structure, descriptive links, a skip-to-content link and visible keyboard focus. Main navigation, guides and source links are ordinary web links. Text can be enlarged using your browser controls, and the layout adapts to narrow screens.

Articles include an on-page contents list where it is useful. The mobile navigation uses a disclosure control. There is no automatically advancing carousel, autoplaying sound or video, or information conveyed only through animation. Status panels use words as well as colour.

Optional interactive controls

Directory filters, a quick guide selector and print buttons use a small local script. The underlying guide links and content are present in the HTML. If scripting is unavailable, you can still read the articles, use the site map and use your browser's own print command.

Keyboard users can move through links and controls with Tab and activate them with Enter or Space as appropriate. The mobile menu can be closed with Escape. Filter results announce the number of matching guides.

Web and PDF resources

The cinema visit checklist and accessibility questions each have a complete web version. Their PDFs contain selectable text and are intended for printing. The HTML pages are the preferred alternative if a PDF reader does not present the worksheet in a useful reading order.

The website has print styles that remove navigation and decorative panels and keep the main article readable. You can choose your own paper size and scaling in the print dialogue.
